JISH: The 23rd Annual Scientific Conference on Communication Disorders

The Jeddah Institute for Speech and Hearing and the Saudi Society for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology organized the 23rd Annual Scientific Conference on Communication Disorders, focusing on speech disorders, audiology, and psychological and behavioral disorders under the theme “Together We Train, Together We Achieve.” The conference included training courses, workshops, and lectures by prominent consultants and specialists. The activities are accredited as continuing medical education hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the Board for Applied Behavior Analysis BACB.


The most prominent events include the training course “Diagnosis of Dyslexia and Developmental Language Disorders” by Dr. Charles Haynes, PhD, Speech Disorders from the Institute of Health Professions in Boston, USA; Strategic Education for Applied Behavior Analysis in Schools by Dr. Shahd Al Sharif, Certified Behavior Analyst; Pharmacological Interventions in Autism Spectrum Disorder by Dr. Bashayer Al Marri; Protocols and Best Practices for Conducting Special Auditory Tests to Assess Hearing Problems; and other essential lectures in these areas.
